Golfers visiting this corner of Kent and Sussex are really spoilt for choice - with over 40 courses of all shapes, sizes and suitable for all abilities. Some have amazing views, some are pro-designed courses, some have unusual and particularly challenging holes, providing even the most experienced golfer with a good test of skill. All have first class facilities – some combining spa and other sporting facilities, so your other half is well-catered for too.

We’ve consulted a keen golfer for tips on where some of the best places to play golf in Kent and Sussex are to be found. Here are Kevin’s 10 favourite places to indulge in a round or two – in no particular order!

London Beach Hotel & Golf Club, Tenterden, Kent
The spa facilities and the Hotel’s close location to the attractions of the pretty Wealden town of Tenterden mean that whilst you are enjoying a round on this 18-hole course, your other half can fit in some me-time too, some retail therapy – or even some wine tasting!

Sussex Golf Club at the Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club, Ashdown Forest, East Sussex
The stunning location of this golf course is almost as stunning as the Hotel itself, with far reaching views across the surrounding Ashdown Forest. Return after a challenging day on the course to the award winning restaurant, a cosy afternoon tea by the fire, or a massage in the spa.

The London Golf Club, Brand’s Hatch, Kent
One of the country’s premier golf courses, the London Golf Club attracts golfers from far and wide to enjoy this first class course host to the 2008 and 2009 Open Championships.
