Marle Place Gardens & Gallery, Brenchley, Kent

Marle Place is a privately owned, mature, award-winning garden; with ten acres of formal planting and many more of woodland. Tucked away up a wealden lane, the garden surrounds the Jacobean house with its massive chimney stack.

Our peaceful garden is filled with exceptional planting and interesting features, including extensive kitchen garden with parterre and orchid house, overflowing herbaceous borders, allium and wildflower pasture, walled scented garden, croquet lawn with Victorian gazebo, mosaic terrace and arboretum, exuberant bog garden and water-lily studded lake.

For art lovers there is always an exhibition in the gallery and sculpture in the gardens.

Teas and homemade cakes always available. Kent Wildlife Award winner 2010, 2011 and 2012.

One of the Seven Wonders of the Weald.
