Groombridge Place offers an exceptional day out and the large estate has something for everyone including the popular Enchanted Forest with its huge tree swings, zip wire and exciting forest trail full of challenges and mystical secrets along the way. Another children’s favourite is Crusoe’s World – an authentic large wooden ship complete with rope bridges.
The award winning gardens are very unique with their statues and water features which overlook the attractive moated 17th century manor house. Children can often be seen playing hide and seek or enjoying the giant chess set! Don’t miss a trip on the canal boat or the chance to meet the baby animals.
The popular Bird of Prey Centre at Groombridge Place allows visitors to see these magnificent birds up close. Twice a day (Tue to Sunday at 12.30 and 3.30) the birds thrill visitors with their daring flying displays.
The beautiful peacocks that roam the grounds can often be seen from the new ‘Peacock Bistro’ which serves hot and cold drinks, as well as delicious lunches and cream teas.
The attraction is also accessible via the Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells which has a station a short walk from the attraction (please check their timetable to make sure the trains are running on the day of your visit).
One of the Seven Wonders of the Weald.
