The Churchill family loved Chartwell. It was a home, and a place that truly inspired Sir Winston. The house is still very much as it was when the family lived here – pictures, books and personal mementoes evoking the career and wide-ranging interests of this influential family. The studio is home to the largest single collection of Churchill’s paintings. Our popular self-service restaurant offers fresh produce from the Chartwell kitchen garden, and our shop stocks Churchill memorabilia and interesting local ranges. We offer free talks and tours on selected days, studio talks and children’s trails and activities.
