Royal Tunbridge Wells

The only spa town in South East England and one of only three 'Royal' towns in the country, the history of Royal Tunbridge Wells stretches back over 400 years when the Chalybeate Spring was first discovered. Since then visitors have been coming to this elegant and historic town to sample the 'waters' still served in the traditional manner by the 'Dipper', and to experience the town's fine architecture, restaurants, accommodation and excellent shopping. The town has been enjoyed by royalty and famous characters from history including Queen Anne, Queen Victoria and Samuel Pepys to name but a few.
