Cranbrook, Kent

Known as the 'Capital of the Weald', Cranbrook is a pretty, Kentish market town with many interesting shops and places to eat. The Union Windmill, the oldest working smockmill in the country, still towers above the town's skyline. St. Duntan's Church, 'Cathedral of the Weald', and Cranbrook Museum are also fascinating places to visit. Cranbrook is ideally located for visiting many of the gardens in Kent and Sussex, and in particular Sissinghurst Castle, just 2 miles from the town. The Weald Information Centre provides visitor information on the area and details of Cranbrook's Heritage Walking Trail - perfect for learning all about the town's history.
