Bluebells in Kent and Sussex

Bluebell Time

These woodland beauties are in full bloom in gardens and woodlands throughout Kent and Sussex. Carpets of deep blue and a heady scent fills the countryside as winter is well and truly over.

Take a walk on the network of footpaths across the region and you’re sure to see some, or even just on the verges of many of the country lanes. Alternatively, head for one of the gardens open to the public with displays of bluebells - some even have special bluebell walking trails.

Pashley Manor Gardens, near Ticehurst – Follow the Bluebell Walk, enjoy a light lunch or afternoon tea overlooking the gardens in fine weather.

Riverhill Himalayan Gardens, Sevenoaks – Explore the Wood Garden covered in swathes of bluebells when at their height. A wonderful spot for children and families to enjoy a Spring day out.

Penshurst Place & Gardens - Stroll through a carpet of bluebells and red tulips under a canopy of pink and white blossom in the gardens at Penshurst Place - the perfect springtime tonic.

Hole Park Gardens, Rolvenden - The woodland walk takes visitors through the heart of a dedicated bluebell wood.

Emmetts, Ide Hill – Emmetts is famous for its woodland flowers, especially bluebells. Enjoys walks with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside.

Marle Place Gardens, near Brenchley – These charming woodland gardens are filled with Spring flowers, including bluebells.

Wilderness Wood, near Hadlow Down – Enjoy the best of the best of the bluebells on the Bluebell Walk through the woodland.
