Accessible Accommodation
If you have particular mobility, visual or hearing needs, look out for VisitBritain’s National Accessible Scheme ratings. Accommodation establishments featured on the Discover the Garden of England website that display one or more of the accessibility logos shown below are committed to accessibility and you can be sure that these establishments have been assessed against demanding criteria.
Some accommodation establishments featured on the website, although not part of the National Accessibility Scheme, are able to provide facilities to suit visitors with particular requirements. Just tick the Accessibility box on the accommodation search to bring up a list of accommodation with these facilities, or look out for the Accessibility symbol and Accessibility information tab on each accommodation entry.
In order to be sure that your chosen accommodation is right for your needs, we urge you to contact the accommodation provider direct to discuss your requirements before booking.
The national tourist board’s website, VisitBritain provides tips and advice on accessible holiday travel in Britain, and additional help and guidance on accessible tourism can be obtained from the national charity Tourism for All.
